# Game top-up store

> In-game currency and digital goods sold at volume, with a storefront, a wallet and a transaction engine behind it.

**Client:** Dynasty Game Store
**Year:** 2024
**Role:** Team of four
**Stack:** C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server
**Runs on:** AWS
**What it does:** Money in, credits out — every step recoverable

## The problem

Selling in-game currency and digital assets across multiple game titles at volume needs a storefront, a wallet, a transaction engine that stays reliable under load, and integrations with each game provider, plus a way for non-engineers to manage products and promotions without going through engineering for every change.

## What we built

A production-ready multi-game top-up platform: a secure e-commerce frontend, an integrated wallet system, a transaction engine, an OpenAPI integration layer with modular game provider APIs for digital asset delivery, and a custom CMS for administrators to manage products, promotions, and analytics independently.

## Outcome

- Around RM10 million in transactions a month, without degrading under load.
- Products, banners and promotions are changed by administrators through the CMS rather than through engineering.
- Game providers are added through a modular API layer, so a new title is an integration rather than a rebuild.
- Partner access runs through a documented OpenAPI layer with per-account keys and IP allow-listing.

## The long version

The platform lets players buy in-game currency and digital assets for titles including Mobile Legends and Genshin Impact through a single storefront, backed by a wallet system and a transaction engine built to be fast and secure rather than a thin checkout bolted onto a payment link.

Game provider integration runs through an OpenAPI layer with modular provider APIs per title, so asset delivery stays reliable and reasonably quick without each new game requiring a bespoke integration path. The transaction engine carries around RM10 million in volume a month, which is what the engineering was for: a store selling digital goods fails in public and all at once, so the work went into the parts nobody sees rather than the checkout.

A custom CMS gives administrators control over products, promotions, and analytics without needing engineering involved in routine changes, which is what keeps operational overhead down and time-to-market short when a new promotion or title needs to go live.
